The Quadtool, Active-Hands, and JAECO work by raising/lowering one's wrist to open/close the gripping jaw; the KFK utilizes two hands-one to hold the device, the other to depress/release its plunger at the top to open/close the jaw. But like conventional models, all four can reportedly reach and grab most any object, whether on the floor or on a high shelf.
