The corded or cordless Mini Compact Circular Saw, weighing 4-8 pounds with its 31/2-inch-diameter blade and 6-amp worm-drive gear motor is designed to allow one to make precision one-handed cuts through a variety of materials, including wood, plastic, masonry, tile, copper, and aluminum. Most makes/models provide two blade-depth positions: one for straight and plunge cuts, the other for flush cuts. Some come with a cutting guide, three-point adjustable ergonomic handle, laser and/or LED light, miter track, and various blades (e.g., carbide-tipped, diamond-tipped, 44T HSS) for different cutting needs.
