Protective Pruning Sleeve
Protective Pruning Sleeve

The Protective Pruning Sleeve is intended to prevent snags, punctures, abrasions, or cuts to the forearm during the pruning process or any other task where such arm protection is warranted. Made of various materials - e.g., pigskin, Kevlar, polyester, Neoprene, polyethylene - or combination of materials (depending on the brand), the sleeve is designed to be thick and tough enough to ward off thorns, the pokes of branches, etc. yet soft, supple, and breathable. Most types have adjustable hook-and-loop or Velcro closures to ensure fit on any forearm and a thumbhole that keeps them from "riding up" the arm, and are hand washable.

Estimated Cost Cost range: $15-$68, depending on material used, sleeve length, buckling system, etc.

Limitations Limitations Addressed by Product: Upper extremity
