Automatic Milker Take-Off
Cost range: See below
Limitations Addressed by Product: Upper extremity, Strength/endurance, Lower extremity
The Automatic Milker Take-Off (or detacher system) is an arm attached to each milker unit. When the cow is finished milking, a sensor detects the decreased milk flow, the vacuum is shut off, and the arm removes the milker. This decreases the amount of work the dairy farmer must do with each cow, thus increasing productivity. Westfalia- Surge's Automatic Take-Off supports the milker upright, so a person with one arm could also use this system.
