Chariot Wheelchair/Scooter Vehicle Lift
Cost range: See below
Limitations Addressed by Product: Lower extremity, Strength/endurance, Back
The battery-operated Chariot Wheelchair/Scooter Vehicle Lift is designed to hoist, store, and transport one's personal mobility device (weighing up to 350 pounds) behind even a small-sized car. This is because the weight rests on the Chariot's wheels, not on the car. To load, the chair or scooter is rolled onto the product's manual-folding, adjustable platform from either side and secured by self-tensioning, retractable belts. Among the Lift's standard features: independent suspension; twin 360º swivel wheels (to keep it in line with the car and prevent jack-knifing); safety latch (to prevent unintentional lift lowering); running, brake, turn-signal, and license-plate lights; and manual emergency back-up. Requires a Class I or II trailer hitch, and transfers to another applicable vehicle.
