Fishing Rod Bandit
Fishing Rod Bandit

Perfect for arm amputees and persons with hand/arm use limitations, the Fishing Rod Bandit is a 45-degree swiveling rod-holding device that allows one not only to cast and reel, but also attach a lure, a hook, and/or bait with just one hand. It consists of an 8-inch by 12-inch aluminum plate that fastens to the body via two belts--one around the midriff and the other around the shoulder and neck. Because it is positioned across the abdomen or side, the user can easily sense and immediately react to a strike--a short jerk of the torso being sufficient to set the hook. An accompanying kit contains clamps to assist in attaching hooks/lures/bait and clamps for holding the fish. (The Fishing Rod Bandit works equally well for holding a hunting rifle.)
