SmartDrive Wheelchair Power Assist
SmartDrive Wheelchair Power Assist

The SmartDrive Wheelchair Power Assist mechanizes manual wheelchairs so users can cruise (arms free) on challenging terrain: rough surfaces, hills, grassy areas, and thick carpets. The device is battery-operated; has a 10-mile range on a single charge; maximum speeds of 4.5 mph level, 4 mph on a 6 degree incline; and weighs less than 20 pounds (including battery). The flexible attachment pivots, accommodating wheelies and curbs with ease. To start and stop requires merely pushing and braking as per normal. The SmartDrive maintaining user-established speed until stopping. Setup involves hooking the device to a pin attachment on the chair's camber bar, sliding the battery pack underneath the seat, and plugging the pack’s connecting wire into the unit.
