The AyrMesh Outdoor Long Range WiFi and Video Monitoring System extends Internet connections for several miles and allows one to utilize a web-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, ipod, ipad, laptop, personal computer) to visually monitor livestock, land, equipment, and outbuildings at distances up to six miles away. The basic system consists of hub, router, and camera (outdoor weather resistant or indoor pan-tilt). Setting up the network involves connecting the router to an existing internet connection, positioning the hub as high as possible in a nearby open area (for maximum line of sight WiFi broadcast), and mounting the camera. Extending the network involves placing additional hubs up to 2 miles apart and providing an electrical outlet for each. The system is designed to find and automatically configure its components, so no technical skills are required. Besides getting access to remote video, a user can also use the system for ordinary WiFi needs anywhere within range of the outdoor hubs. The system is encrypted and secure.
